Kokusai caters to the exacting demands of the auto industry, offering a host of dynamic balancing machines with a number of applications in industry including passenger and light truck, heavy trucking and bus tire, TWA’s, crankshafts, brake disks, and rotors. Our machinery is classified as the world standard for dynamic balancing, measuring the dynamic unbalance that occurs on both sides of the circumferential centerline, i.e. the horizontal and vertical axes. Imbalances are corrected with counter weights for optimum performance.
An out-of-balance tire leads to noticeable vibration and can shorten the life span of tires and suspension components, as well as degrading ride quality and driver experience.

To meet the auto industry’s demands for tire uniformity and quality, Kokusai offers tire and wheel laboratory testing, with tire durability and road simulator equipment to test tires and wheel assemblies. Important forces, moments, and other aspects of tire performance can be inspected with tests such as rolling resistance, fatigue, durability, tread distribution, bead expansion, and road surface motion. High speed uniformity testing is available to ensure full measuring of the forces acting on a tire about the radial, lateral, and tangential axes as it contacts the road. These forces vary due to manufacturing inconsistencies. Our equipment tests the full spectrum of strictly defined measurement standards for uniformity. Long term ...

Kokusai excels in developing customizable equipment for the automobile and tire industry. Our high performance Tire Bead Seater (also known as tire fitting) allows Tier 1 and 2 automotive businesses to improve bead seating for better balance and uniformity. Our bead seating machinery is applicable to tire and tire/wheel assemblies for all equipment, including light truck, SUV, motorcycles, and cars. Developed with the input of a major auto and tire manufacturers, our process allows for a perfect bead seat by focusing on working at the bead rather than the tread or sidewall, preserving the original balance and uniformity of the tire by introducing a “squeegee” effect. This effect removes air and soap to force the bead to fit properly ...

Kokusai is pleased to offer one of our latest releases to the industry, our newly redesigned combination wheel gauging and balancing machine. This new system is equipped with sensors that detect the wheel and locate the angle of the valve hole, reporting all aspects of balance and uniformity with respect to the valve hole. The effect of the tire pressure monitor (TPM) can also be calculated and reported in the final results. Radial and lateral run out, as well as dynamic and static balance, is measured with this tester. This exciting innovation applies to wheels in passenger and light trucking, as well as heavy duty applications.
All processes with this combination machine take less than 10 seconds per station, utilizing a ...

Kokusai offers an impressive variety of shaft straightening machines designed to correct the distortions common to manufacturing. Applications vary from precision office equipment, such as surgical drill bits, to large construction equipment shafts. Our machines are successfully used to straighten camshafts, oval rings, armatures, and crank shafts. Straightening is an important resource for manufacturing, as a bent part can cause material fatigue, as well as machine vibration and unbalance due to bearing wear. Developing precision straightening equipment is both a science and an art, and Kokusai is proud to be effective at the more difficult applications for straightening, for example the complex geometry of rack and pinion systems. ...

Kokusai is pleased to offer a line of precision gear testing machines with options such as an inner ring gear tester and a double flank gear tester featuring varnishing gears. This system is capable of a full range of complex analysis for functional gear testing including tests for run out, deflection, and movement. Meshing is also a test parameter, mating a work gear with a precision master gear, and evaluating the resulting changes in the gears or the change in their center distance to determine if the work gear meets set performance standards. This machinery allows customers to produce parts to the required quality and maintain process control.
Our machines are fully tailored to customer needs and workspace, manufactured ...

For the testing of electrical coils, armatures, and stators, Kokusai USA manufactures coil winding testers, such as armature coil contact probe units, and impulse surge testers.
Our impulse surge testers apply a non-destructive high voltage pulse, testing for the number of turns, short circuits between coils, coil welding failures, corona discharge, and insulation errors among other issues. To detect the winding defects in electrical coils we offer an armature coil contact probe unit, which utilizes computer controlled testing to give the instant “go” or “no-go” judgment for quick removal of a defective part from the production line. This equipment ensures that testing can take place in a short amount of time for ...

Kokusai is proud to offer an extensive range of vibration and transportation testers - also called “shakers” - with applications in the aviation, aerospace, electrical, railroad, and trucking industries among many others. Our machinery has the ability to shake the smallest pharmaceutical vial all the way to an actual house to test earthquake readiness. The same foundational technology is used for each unit: a specialized electric servomotor actuator that can be configured according to customer needs into single, dual, or triple axis machines. This technology offers more accurate and reproducible results compared to servo-hydraulic machinery, as well as the ability to measure at much lower frequencies.

Incorporated into Kokusai’s inventory of innovative high quality equipment are a number of torsion and tensile testers. These systems are designed to analyze the durability of a range of parts transmitting rotational forces including springs, small components, drive shafts, and transmissions. Our machines only use electric servos, and feature adjustable tension and friction settings that are changeable during testing. Available equipment includes the torsion fatigue tester, tension, and compression fatigue tester which utilizes a ball screw to convert the rotary output into linear motion; and combined torsion/compression fatigue tester which combines all the functionality of the previous machines into one compact unit with one set ...
